Poker Aces references two aces dealt pre-flop. It’s the best attainable before theflop hand inhold’em Poker. But despite this a great many gamblers find themselves on the wrong end when given these cards.
When you are dealt a set of Aces, you just don’t fold pre-flop. You are positioned with the best possible hand at this stage of the round. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you simply go all-in? I would say no to that.
Remember, you’re trying to acquire as much profit from this strong position. You will want to maximise the opportunity. Going all-in will actually drive most players into dropping out before putting a bet.
If you are in the starting spot (first or 2nd to wager), you will place a single bet. Anyone with a decent hand will call, with hope somebody may raise. If someone has made a raise don’t jump to re-raise or call, wait for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
After the flop your course of action will be to eliminate any player that might be able to get a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise aggressively, if you are lucky you’ll fool 1 player into thinking that you’re bluffing.
If you’re in the center or later spot (one of the last to cast a bet) you will watch as every player calls and then raise. Even with you holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avert a show-down. Protect your hand by forcing the other players fold after the flop. If you don’t abolish your competition you chance losing your hand.
